IRGC Intelligence forces arrest Rahim Hassanpour in Sardasht

Rahim Hassanpour, a Kurdish man from Nalas, Sardasht County, has been arrested by forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, IRGC Intelligence forces raided Hassanpour’s workplace at an agricultural farm near Banavi village on Monday, August 10, 2026, and arrested him without presenting a warrant.

Informed sources said Hassanpour was subsequently transferred to an IRGC Intelligence detention facility in Urmia for interrogation.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for Hassanpour’s arrest, the charges against him, or his current condition and place of detention.
