Security forces use deception to arrest Diako Ayazi in Baneh

Iranian security forces used deception to arrest a Kurdish individual, Diako Ayazi, in the city of Baneh and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ayazi was arrested by security forces in Baneh on the evening of Friday, March 27, 2026.

An informed source stated that security forces used deceptive methods to carry out the arrest. They arrived at his residence in a vehicle belonging to the gas company and were wearing the official uniforms of the gas service company when they arrested him.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for his arrest, any charges against him, or his place of detention, and his family’s attempts to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.
