Reza Amanifar, teachers’ union activist, arrested in Bushehr

Reza Amanifar, a veteran teachers’ union activist and an inspector with the Coordination Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations, was arrested by Iranian security forces in Bushehr and taken to an undisclosed location.
Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Reza Amanifar, who is also a member of the Bushehr Teachers’ Trade Association, was arrested on Saturday, April 4, 2026, by Iranian authorities in Bushehr.

In a statement, the Coordination Council of Iranian Teachers’ Trade Associations condemned the arbitrary arrest and described it as a clear violation of civil and labor rights.
