Iran raids Baha’i home in Shiraz, arrests 19-year-old Anqa Siavashi

Iranian authorities raided the home of a Baha’i family in Shiraz, searching the residence and those present before arresting a 19-year-old man, Anqa Siavashi, and transferring him to an undisclosed location.
Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, agents from the Intelligence Department in Shiraz stormed the Siavashi family home at approximately 22:20 local time on Monday, April 6, 2026, without presenting any warrant or search order. During the raid, Anqa Siavashi, a 19-year-old member of the family, was arrested.
Sources told Hengaw that during the search, officers confiscated all personal belongings and religious items belonging to the family, including family photo albums, religious images, books, and even children’s toys. All electronic devices, including laptops, computers, mobile phones, and a modem, were also seized, along with a significant amount of gold and jewelry.
At the time of the raid, guests present in the house were also subjected to body searches and interrogation. Their personal belongings, including mobile phones and jewelry, were confiscated and taken by the agents.
His current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against him remain unknown.
