Wounded Peshmerga dies after IRGC drone strike on Komala camp

A Kurdish Peshmerga wounded in a drone strike by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on a Komala party camp in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region has died from her injuries.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ghazal Mawlan, from Mahabad and a member of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, died on the evening of April 14, 2026, after being critically injured in a drone attack on the Sordash camp in Sulaymaniyah province.

Sources said at least two other Peshmergas were also wounded in the attack, though their condition was reported to be stable.

The strikes took place on the seventh day of a declared ceasefire between Iran, Israel and the United States. IRGC forces carried out coordinated drone attacks targeting camps of both the Komala Party and the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI).
