Kurdish man Ali Eskandari violently arrested by Iranian intelligence forces in Ilam

Two days after the arrest of Ali Eskandari, a Kurdish man from Ilam, no information is available regarding his fate, place of detention or current condition.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, forces affiliated with the Intelligence Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran raided the family home of 41-year-old Ali Eskandari in the city of Ilam on Thursday, May 21, 2026, and arrested him violently without presenting a court warrant.
He was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.
Judicial authorities and security institutions in Ilam have refused to provide Eskandari’s family with any clear information regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him.
