Authorities carry out executions of six prisoners across four prisons

Iranian authorities have executed six prisoners, including a Lor man and a Baloch man, in prisons in Isfahan, Mashhad, Neyshabur, and Kashan. The prisoners had previously been sentenced to death on charges of drug-related offenses and premeditated murder, Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has learned.
Mojtaba Khosravi, 42, a father of one, and Meysam Abdi, 38, both from Torbat-e Heydarieh in Razavi Khorasan Province, were executed at Isfahan Central Prison during the early hours of Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
The two prisoners had been sentenced to death approximately two years earlier in a joint case involving drug-related charges.
Authorities also executed Jafar Sabouhi, a 40-year-old father of one, at Neyshabur Prison during the early hours of Saturday, May 23, 2026. He had been sentenced to death for the premeditated murder of his mother-in-law.
In another case, authorities carried out the executions of Farhad Jalilvand, a 30-year-old Lor man from Aligudarz in Lorestan Province, and Ali Bozorgi, 28, from Kashan, at Kashan Central Prison during the early hours of Sunday, April 27, 2026.
Bozorgi had been sentenced to death four years earlier on a premeditated murder charge, while Jalilvand had received a death sentence three years earlier for drug-related offenses.
Iranian authorities also secretly executed Javad Shahouzehi (Javad Ghafran Taleb), a 24-year-old Baloch man and father of three from Zahedan, at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad on Monday, April 21, 2026.
Shahouzehi had been arrested six years earlier, when he was 18 years old, on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death.
The executions of these six prisoners have not been announced by Iranian state media, particularly outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
