Iran executes at least eleven prisoners across the country

At least 11 prisoners, including two Gilak inmates, were executed in prisons across Iran on charges of premeditated murder or drug-related offences.The executions took place in prisons in Rasht, Neyshabur, Saveh, Kashan, Dorud, Zanjan, Gorgan, Kerman, Isfahan and Yazd.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentences of Ehsan Nadimi, 46, from Bandar Anzali; Reza Shokouri, approximately 50, from Rasht; and Maziar Falahati from Neyshabur were carried out at dawn on Monday, December 15, 2025, in Lakan Prison in Rasht and Neyshabur Prison.
Nadimi had been imprisoned five years earlier following a dispute over agricultural land that resulted in a murder conviction. Shokouri had been detained for three years on similar charges, while Falahati had also been convicted of murder.
On the same day, Amirhossein Rasouli from Saveh, Zahed Eslami from Kashan, and Ghanbar Safari, a Lor prisoner from Dorud, were executed in Saveh, Kashan and Dorud prisons, respectively. All three had been convicted of premeditated murder.
In further executions, four prisoners were put to death in Zanjan, Gorgan, Kerman and Isfahan prisons. They were identified as (first name unknown) Khorami, a Turk from Zanjan, and Bahman Hosseini from Gorgan, both convicted of murder, as well as Mohammad Bamari, a Baloch prisoner, and Milad Sheikhi, both sentenced to death on drug-related charges.
Separately, Khalegh Zolfaghari, 30, from Yazd, was executed at dawn on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Yazd Central Prison. He had been arrested three years earlier following a street altercation that led to a murder conviction.
None of the executions were announced by Iranian state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
