Baha’i woman Flora Samadani detained, whereabouts unknown

Flora Samadani, a Baha’i resident of Yazd, has been detained by Iranian forces, and her fate and whereabouts remain unknown three days after her arrest.
Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Samadani was arrested on Sunday, May 3, 2026, during a raid on her home in Yazd.
Hengaw has learned that agents searched the house during the operation and confiscated several of her personal belongings.
Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for her arrest, any charges against her, or the institution responsible for her detention.
Flora Samadani is the wife of Ahmad Naeimi, a Baha’i man who has previously been subjected to repeated arrests and judicial harassment due to his religious beliefs.
