Protest detainee Samad Pourshe arrested to serve prison sentence in Yasuj

Samad Pourshe, a Lor man from Yasuj who had been under medical care due to torture-related injuries sustained during previous detention, has been arrested to begin serving his 15-month prison sentence and.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Pourshe was recently taken into custody to enforce his prison sentence despite the fact that he remains under medical supervision for physical and psychological injuries caused by torture during his earlier detention, with his treatment process still incomplete.
Pourshe was initially arrested on the evening of Monday, December 29, 2025, during the January protests after government forces raided his home while he was livestreaming on Instagram. He was subjected to three weeks of interrogation under pressure before being released on bail.
Hengaw has learned that he was sentenced last winter by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Yasuj to 15 months of discretionary imprisonment.
Over recent years, Samad Pourshe has been arrested at least twice before by Iranian government forces and had previously served a prison sentence.
