Samaneh Ebrahimi Navaei arrested by Iranian forces in Amol

Iranian government forces have arrested Samaneh Ebrahimi Navaei, a woman from Amol in Mazandaran Province, and transferred her to a security detention facility in Sari.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ebrahimi Navaei, 46, was arrested on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
A source close to her family told Hengaw that government forces arrested her outside her home as she was preparing to leave for work. Following her arrest, she was transferred to the Intelligence Department detention center in Sari for interrogation.
In recent days, Ebrahimi Navaei has been been allowed only one brief phone call to inform her family of her whereabouts and condition. However, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for her arrest or any charges against her.
