Arab civil activist Mojahed Savari detained by intelligence forces

Mojahed Savari, a 37-year-old Arab civil and cultural activist from Ahvaz, was detained after Iranian Intelligence Department forces violently raided his family home. His current whereabouts remain unknown.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the forces raided Savari's family home in the early hours of Monday, June 22, 2026, violently detaining him before transferring him to an undisclosed location.

Informed sources stated that intelligence forces carried out the raid without a warrant. The detention took place in an atmosphere of intimidation in front of his wife and four young children.

Several days after his detention, Iranian authorities have yet to disclose any information about his condition. Savari's current whereabouts, legal status, and any charges against him remain unknown.
