Two more musicians have been identified among the nine artists prosecuted over singer Parastoo Ahmadi's Caravanserai Concert, providing new details about those prosecuted in connection with the performance.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, musicians Mohammadamin Taheri and Amirali Pirnia have been identified as two of the nine defendants sentenced by the Criminal Court of Qom Province, joining previously identified musicians Soheil Faqih Nasiri and Ehsan Birqadar. The remaining four defendants were members of the concert's production team.

As Hengaw previously reported, the case stems from the symbolic Caravanserai Concert, held without an audience at the Deir Gachin Caravanserai in Qom in December 2024. During the performance, Ahmadi appeared without observing Iran's compulsory hijab regulations, accompanied by Taheri, Faqih Nasiri, Pirnia, and Birqadar. The concert was livestreamed on her YouTube channel.

The performance prompted a security crackdown that led to the arrests of Ahmadi, Birqadar, and Faqih Nasiri. Authorities also sealed the Deir Gachin Caravanserai, where the concert took place. Following a brief detention, the three artists were released on bail on December 23, 2024, after appearing before the Prosecutor's Office for Moral Security.

The Criminal Court of Qom Province sentenced all nine defendants to 74 lashes, a two-year ban on leaving Iran, and a two-year prohibition on all artistic activities on the charge of “offending public decency through the production and online dissemination of obscene and immoral content.”

Ahmadi, born in April 1997 in Nowshahr, Mazandaran Province, is a graduate of Sooreh University with a degree in film directing. She gained widespread recognition after performing the patriotic song Az Khun-e Javanan-e Vatan, originally composed by Aref Qazvini, during the Woman, Life, Freedom (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement. She has since released several works inspired by Mazandarani folk music.
