Hengaw – Saturday, June 6, 2026

Parsa Najafi, a 19-year-old Baha’i resident of Isfahan, was arrested after Iranian government forces raided his family home.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, government agents entered Najafi’s family residence on the morning of Saturday, June 6, 2026, without prior notice. Sources said the agents entered the house using a key and without ringing the doorbell before informing the family that they had a warrant for his arrest.

An informed source told Hengaw that the arrest was accompanied by a thorough search of the home and the confiscation of numerous personal belongings.

“Security forces ransacked the house and seized a range of personal and family property, including— mobile phones, personal laptops, bank cards, cash, books, including educational and school materials— artwork, identity documents, passports and other personal items,” the source said.

According to family members, security agents displayed highly insulting and degrading behavior throughout the raid and, in some instances, used physical force against members of the household.

This marks the second time that Najafi’s family home has been raided and searched by Iranian security agencies. On January 22, 2025, security forces had previously searched the residence, although no arrest was made at that time.

After several hours without information about his whereabouts, the family received a brief phone call informing them that Najafi had been transferred to Dastgerd Prison, also known as Isfahan Central Prison.

Authorities have provided no clear information regarding the reasons for his arrest, any charges brought against him, or the status of his case.
