Alias Ghasemi detained during overnight Intelligence Ministry raid in Asadabad

A Kurdish man identified as, Alias Ghasemi, was detained during an overnight raid by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry in the town of Ajin, in Asadabad county of Hamedan province.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Intelligence Ministry forces raided the home of Alias Ghasemi at about 1 a.m. on July 10, 2026, without presenting a warrant or other legal authorization. He was detained and taken to an undisclosed location.

Informed sources said security forces used severe physical violence during the raid, beating and verbally abusing Ghasemi in front of his wife and young children.

The reasons for Ghasemi’s detention, the charges against him, or his whereabouts remain unknown.
