7 killed in two armed clashes between Iranian Armed forces and a Kurdish party on Bukan-Mahabad road

Hengaw : An armed clash took place in one of the villages between Mahabad and Bukan between Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) forces and forces of a Kurdish political party.

According to a report received by Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, an armed clash took place between  Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces and a Kurdish opposition party on the Mahabad-Bukan road  near the village of Qarblagh at around 11 pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 .

At least three Iranian  intelligence officers  were killed in the clashes, according to Hengaw sources.  Half an hour after the clash and near the same place, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces opened fire on a car and two occupants of the car were killed and another was wounded and captured by the Iranian forces, an informed source told the Hengaw .

A  sergeant from Miandoab and another member of the IRGC were also killed in this clash.

As of preparation of this , no Kurdish party has claimed responsibility for the clash.  Media outlets close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) only covered the clashes and did not mention casualties on either side.
