9 Kurdish women detained in Iranian Kurdistan during past 10 days

Hengaw : In less than two weeks, 20 women have been arrested in or summoned to the security services offices of the Islamic Republic of Iran and interrogated in various cities of Kurdistan.

According to statistics recorded at the Statistics and Documentation Data Center of He haw  Human Rights Organization, at least 9 women in the cities of Kermanshah, Baneh, Naqadeh, Bukan and Mahabad were detained by Iranian security forces following the  new wave of mass detention of Kurdish citizens, which began on January 9.

 According to the report, three detained women, Nazanin Atabaki and Nasrin Yazdanipour from Kermanshah, and Taraneh Mohammadi from Baneh were released on the same day, and five other women remain in custody.

 Also, Darya Talabani and Asrin Mohammadi from Mahabad and Azima Naseri from Bukan, who were detained  on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in the cities of Mahabad, Tehran and Bukan, are currently being held in the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center and have had only  a brief one-minute phone call  with their families. .

 On the other hand, there is no information about the fate and whereabouts of Galavij Abdullahi from Naghadeh, Fariba Ahmadi and Rojin Mohammadpour from Bukan, who were detained on January 15 and 20. 
 At least 11 other women activists have been summoned and interrogated by security forces in the cities of Kermanshah, Marivan, Bukan and Mahabad over the past two weeks.

 The names of the detained women  are as follows;

 1- Darya Talabani from Mahabad was arrested on January 9 in Mahabad.

 2- Asrin Mohammadi from Mahabad was arrested on January 9 in Mahabad.

 3- Azima Naseri was arrested on January 9 in Bukan.

 4- Taraneh was arrested on January 11 in Baneh.

 5- Glavij Abdullahi was arrested on January13  in Naqadeh.

 6- Nazanin Atabaki was arrested on January 16 in Kermanshah.

 7- Nasrin Yazdanipour was arrested on January 16 in Kermanshah.

 8- Fariba Ahmadi  was arrested on January19 in Bukan

 9- Rojin Mohammadpour  was arrested on January 19 in Bukan.
