Kurdish couple arrested in Sanandaj

Zeinab Azizi and her husband, Sirvan Amini, a Kurdish couple from Sanandaj (Sine), have been arrested by Iranian government forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the couple was arrested on March 7, 2026, by agents of the Intelligence Ministry in Sanandaj.

No detailed information has been released regarding the reasons for their arrest, the charges brought against them, or their place of detention.
