Sucide rates are on the rise for young Kurdish women

Hengaw: Two young Kurdish women committied suicide in the city of Pawa.

According to reports received by Hengaw, a young Kurdish woman from Pawe ended her life by taking drugs.

According to Hengaw correspondent in the city the name of the latest victim is the 28-year old Hilan Mahmoudi, daughter of Qadir.

A source close to the family told Hengaw reporter in the city that Hilan’s suicide was due to her family’s rejection to a marriage proposal.

Last year this time, another Kurdish woman from the city took her life using the same drugs used by Hilan.
