Setting fire to forest and shooting at the environmental activists by an Iranian border regiment

Hengaw: Setting fire to the forest pastures of Choman, a border village of Baneh in Kurdistan Province and shooting at the environmental activists by an Iranian border regiment erupted sever reaction of this village’s people.   An Iranian border regiment in Baneh set fire to the forest pastures of Choman, a border village and caused to burn more than 5 Hectares.   Based on the witnesses, When the village’s people and the environmental activists were going to extinguish the fire, the Iranian border regiment prevented them from nearing the region and shot at them.   Following this event, the village’s people and council wrote a letter to the Governor of Baneh to track it seriously.   The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s forces set fire to a big part of the forest and pastures of Kurdistan with the pretext of activity of the Kurdish opposition groups.
