Hajar Saeedi sentenced to five years imprisonment

Hengaw: Hajer Saeedi, a kurdish activist for women‘s rights, was sentenced to five years imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The kurdish female acitivst Hajar Saeedi was sentenced to five years imprisonment by the first branch of the revolutionary court in Sanandaj, Kordistan Province. Hajar Saeedi is a civil activist for women‘s rights.

Hajar Saeedi was arrested on June 7th, 2020 by the Etlaat forces of Sanandaj and was temporarily released on bail after 18 days.

The court meeting was held on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020. She was declaired to be guilty of "being a member of one of the oppositional Kurdish parties“, „taking part in illigal protests“ and „communicating with labor activists". The imprisonment sentence was declared to her officially on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2020. Based on the declaired sentence, Hajar Saeedi has to go to the headquarters of the Etlaat of Sanandaj (Secret Service) once a month.
