Four Kurdish citizens got executed during August 2020

Hengaw: During the past month at least four Kurdish citizens were executed by hanging in prisons of the Islamic Republic of Iran. 

Based on the registered statistics of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, during August 2020, at least four Kurdish citizens were executed by hanging in the prisons of Sanandaj, Boroujerd and Rasht.

All of the prisoners who were executed by hanging during the past month and whose identities are authenticated by Hengaw were arrested for committing homicide and were sentenced to death by hanging.

Most of these death penalties, two out of four, were carried out in the Kurdistan Province. The other two executions were carried out in Lorestan and in Gilan Province.
