Arrest of two citizens from Mahabad by security forces

Hengaw: Two citizens from Mahabad, West Azarbaijan Province, were arrested by IRGC forces and were transferred to an unknown place.

According to the report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Friday, September 4, 2020, the IRGC in Mahabad arrested two citizens identified as "Soleyman Karimpour" and "Khaled Mohammadzadeh Aghdam" and transferred them to an unknown place.

An informed source revealed that these two men are from "Khur Khure" village. They were working in agriculture fields when they were arrested for cooperating with one of the oppositional kurdish parties of Iranian Kurdistan.

Three days have passed and although their families have attempted to contact them several times, their fate is still unknown.
