Father of an Political Activist Arrested

Hengaw: A citizen from Oshnavieh, West Azerbaijan Province, was summoned by the Ettelaat (Intelligence Service).

According to the report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, October 26, 2020, Farouq Azizi, a citizen from Oshnavieh, was arrested after he was summoned by the Ettelaat.

Farouq Azizi, 39, is from Bimzarata village near Oshnavieh.

The Ettelaat called him to interrogate him in the Intelligence Service office. An informed source said that Ettelaat summoned Farouq Azizi and then arrested him, because one of his children is a member of an oppositional party.
