Execution of 7 Citizens during October 2020 in Kurdistan Province

Hengaw: During the past month the execution sentence of at least 7 Kurdish citizens have been carried out in the prisons of the Kurdistan Province. 

Based on the registered statistics of Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during October 2020 at least the executions of 7 citizens have been carried out in the prisons of Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, Aligoudarz, Lorestan Province, and Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province.

Six out of seven cases of the execution sentences were due to homicide charges and one case was due to drug related charges.

Furthermore most of the execution cases happened in West Azerbaijan Province with 4 cases. Lorestan Province had 2 cases and Kermanshah Province had 1 case.
