Armed clashes on the borders of Urmia, West Azerbaijan province — 7 members of the Iranian Border Guard Regiment killed and wounded

Hengaw :At least 7  members of the Iranian Border Guards Regiment have been killed and wounded in an armed clash  between Iranian forces and  a Kurdish opposition party at around 2:00 PM in local time ,on Friday, November 13, 2020, in the border heights of the Silvana region of Urmia that  lasted less than an hour. 

Additionally, 3 members of the Iranian Border Guard Regiment were killed and 4 others were wounded.  However, The Iranian State  Media announced the number of wounded  only 2.

 The Iranian State Media have identified the 3 killed member of the Iranian Border Guards as second lieutenant Muslem Jahanara (second lieutenant) , Malek Taher (second lieutenant ) and the Kamran Keramat(conscript)

Hengaw sources stated that  no casualties were reported from the Kurdish opposition party and that they had left the area.
 As of preparation of this report , no Kurdish opposition parties  have claimed responsibility for the clashes yet .
