Craig and Lindsay Foreman, a British couple taken hostage by the Iranian government, have been transferred from a security detention facility in Kerman to prisons in Tehran and Qarchak after nearly seven months in custody.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 52-year-old Lindsay Foreman was recently moved to Qarchak Prison, while her husband, Craig Foreman, also 52, was transferred to Greater Tehran Prison.
The Islamic Republic arrested Craig and Lindsay Foreman and accused them of “espionage” at a time of mounting international pressure over its nuclear program, missile activities, and support for proxy groups.
During their seven months in detention in Kerman, the couple was subjected to severe pressure and torture aimed at extracting forced confessions.
Family members expressed concern that the couple might have been harmed during the recent war between Iran and Israel.
Craig and Lindsay Foreman had entered Iran from Armenia while traveling the world by motorcycle. After visiting Tabriz, Tehran, and Isfahan, they were arrested on January 3, 2025, while en route to Kerman.
