 Hengaw : A Kurdish citizen from Islamabad Gharb (Shabad) district of Kermanshah province in Iranian Kurdistan , who has been detained on charges of premeditated murder, has fallen  into coma  due to beatings and torture by Iranian intelligence forces.

 According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, January 3, 2021, A Kurdish citizen identified as Bahman Oghabi ,35-year-old , from the village of Chaqa Janga in Islamabad Gharb was beaten and tortured by Iranian intelligence agents and then fell into Coma . 

 According to an informed source, Bahman Oghabi is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Khomeini Hospital in Kermanshah and is under strict security measures.

 The source said that the Iranian intelligence services  did not provide any information to his family and that they were informed of their son’s  condition through the hospital, however, they have not allowed them to visit yet.
 Iranian Intelligence officials told Oghabi’s  family that their son had fallen into coma after taking tramadol pills, but his family said he didn’t even smoke cigarettes.

 Bahman Oghabi has been on wanted since Thursday, November 14, 2019 on charges of premeditated murder of three members of a family (his ex-wife, his young child and his ex-mother in law ), and on Thursday, December 31, 2020, Iranian state News Agency  And Kermanshah TV, quoting the prosecutor of Islamabad Gharb and the police commander of Kermanshah, published the news of his arrest after a year in Tehran.

 It is worth mentioning that torture of defendants by Iranian Forces has sometimes become a common practice in law enforcement and security detention centers under the guise of technical interrogation, and a number of defendants lose their lives annually as a result of the same technical interrogation, which is psychological and physical torture.
