Kurdish Woman in Jail on Death Row for 15 Years

Hengaw: One of the female prisoners in Sanandaj Central Prison in the women segment that has been sentenced to execution has been arrested since 15 years ago.

According to the reports recieved by Hengaw organization for human rights, "Jamile Sadiqi" the prisoner from Qurwe has stayed in the prison for 15 years, and she has not been allowed to go out of prison.

Based on a reliable source inside the prison, accused of murdering her husband, she has been arrested, and she has stayed in the prison since 2003.

After being arrested because of killing her husband, she was sentenced to death in the criminal court of Qurwe.

According to one of her roommates in the prison, Jamile has afflicted with mental illness because of staying in the prison for a long time, and her husband's family has not agreed yet to save her from execution.
