On Monday, May 23, 2022, two teenagers called Mohammad Badereh, 11, from Marivan, and Sina Khorani, 16, from Ivan Gharb in Ilam province, hanged themselves for unknown reasons and ended their lives.
According to the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in the last two months, at least 12 teenagers, including 7 boys and 5 girls, have committed suicide in different cities of Kurdistan and have ended their lives.
The highest number of suicides was recorded in Javanrood with 3 cases, and in the cities of Qotur, Saqez, Kermanshah, Salmas, Ilam, Marivan, Kamyaran, Paveh, and Ivan Gharb, one case of suicide for teenagers was recorded in each.
