Sanandaj — Four Kurds from the same family arrested amid ongoing wave of arrests

Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has arrested four Kurds from the same family in Sanandaj and transferred them to an undisclosed location. Three of the detainees had previously been arrested on separate occasions. 

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, July 14, 2025, security forces raided the village of Aranan in the Sanandaj region and arrested Eyub Ahmadi, 29; Abed Ahmadi; Ali Ahmadi; and Diyar Ahmadi. 

Sources reported that the arrests were carried out without arrest warrant, and the detainees were taken by Ministry of Intelligence agents. 

No information is available regarding the specific charges, reasons for the arrests, or the whereabouts of the four men. 

 Eyub Ahmadi was previously arrested on October 8, 2023, while Ali and Diyar Ahmadi were detained on September 15, 2023, before being released.
