Sajad Haeri, brother of Kurdish political prisoner Ahmadreza Haeri, arrested in Damavand

Sajad Haeri, the brother of Kurdish political prisoner Ahmadreza Haeri, was arrested by security forces in Damavand, Tehran province.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, security forces arrested Sajad Haeri, a Kurdish man originally from Ilam, at his family home on the evening of Saturday, July 12, 2025.
A source close to the family reported that Sajad was able to make a brief phone call on Sunday to inform them of his arrest.
No information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest, any charges filed against him, or his whereabouts.
Ahmadreza Haeri, Sajad’s brother, is currently serving a prison sentence in the general ward of Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. He has been imprisoned since May 10, 2023.
