Ramin Fatehi, who was detained by the security forces about ten days ago in Sanandaj, perished as a result of torture.
The authorities notified the Fatehi family that Ramin Fatehi had died on Friday, October 21, 2022, according to the report that Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received.
"Ramin died in the Intelligence Department's detention facility under torture, but the security authorities informed the Fatehi family that he committed suicide at the Intelligence Department's detention facility," one of Fatehi's relatives told Hengaw.
On October 13, 2022, Iranian security forces detained Ramin Fatehi and his brother Wria Fatehi. His sister, Rada Fatehi, was also detained by those forces a day later. There was no exact information about the fate of these three siblings until the death of Ramin.
Ramin Fatehi is the fourth Kurdish civilian who was arrested and died under torture during the recent protests, based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
