On Thursday, October 27, 2022, during public uprisings in Mahabad, at least three individuals, named Kubra ShekhSaqa, Zaniar AbuBakri, and Shaho Khzri, were murdered by direct fire from Iranian regime forces.
According to the reports received by Hengaw, Kubra ShekhSaqa, 55, of Dimla, Chom Majid Khan, and a resident of Mahabad, has been murdered by IRI forces near Molla Jami Square.
It is important to note that another civilian was also murdered during these demonstrations. However, Hengaw has not yet been able to identify who he was. More than 20,000 people took to the streets following the burial service of Ismail Moloudi, commonly known as Samko, sparking today's protests in Mahabad. For several hours, people occupied multiple government buildings, including the administration, finance, relief committee, police, and a few banks. Additionally, the IRIB facility and this city's Police Station 11 were surrounded by people.
