While they are in the second month of their arrest, detainees from Mahabad, Hemin Ahmadzadeh, and Arman Maroufi's conditions are still unclear, and they are denied access to basic rights.

Hemin Ahmadzadeh and Arman Maroufi were detained during the popular uprising in Mahabad City, and according to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, they were taken to an undisclosed location and have not communicated with their family.

Hemin Ahmadzadeh and Arman Maroufi were held for 34 days without being allowed to see a lawyer or speak to their families, and it has been reported that the details of their detention remain unknown.

According to Hengaw sources, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, these two citizens were arrested by Iranian government forces in Mahabad city.

Ten Kurdish civilians have died as a result of torture by Iranian government forces since September of this year, according to information recorded in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights.
