40 days after the arrest of Ismail Khizir, a Kurdish civil activist and journalist from Piranshahr, his fate is still unknown, and he is being kept in the Central Prison of Naghadeh.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ismail Khazri, a Kurdish journalist and political science student at Payam Noor University in Mahabad, was recently transferred from the Iranian Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia to Naghadeh Prison.
Before being kidnapped, in addition to cultural activities, this citizen was studying accounting at Piranshahr Azad University.
Hengaw has been informed that Ismail Khiziri was denied the right to access a lawyer and visit his family during his detention.
Ismail Khizir, from the village of "Sarwakani" near Piransher, was kidnapped by Iranian intelligence forces on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
Actions by the Iranian government institutions to frame up cases, force confessions, and conduct torture leading to murder in the last three months have caused concern about the fate of arrested citizens in Kurdistan.
