Ehsan Safaifar, Mohammad Peyghami, Fardin Khosh Khahesh, Farhad Kazemi, Khaled Dashti, and Abdur Rahim Rahimi Goran Abad were sentenced to imprisonment by the Iranian judiciary in connection with the popular resistance in the city of Oshnavieh.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, these citizens have been sentenced to prison by the 101st branch of the Iranian Criminal Court in Oshnavieh, headed by Judge Abutaleb Jalilpour, referring to the report by the Iranian government institutions on the protests.
Among the names of these protesters is a retired teacher, Mohammad Peyghami, who was sentenced to two years in prison on the charges of "disturbing public order and peace and disobeying the officers."
These accusations were also brought against Farhad Kazemi, 33, Khaled Dashti, 31, and Ehsan Safaifar, 33, and for this reason, each of them was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
In two other cases, Abdul Rahim Rahimi Goranabad, 30, and Fardin Khosh Khahesh, 26, were sentenced to five years and three months each by the court on the charges of "disturbing public order and peace, disobeying the officers, and intentionally destroying public property by participating in protests."
According to the details, the Iranian criminal court in Oshnavieh has used the contents of the mobile phones of these citizens as evidence.
The citizens were arrested in the period of late September and early October, during the popular resistance and protests in Oshnavieh, and after one month they were released on bail.
