Shoresh Ebrahimi, a Kurdish citizen from Tangisar village near Sanandaj who was abducted by the Iranian government forces during the popular resistance in Marivan, was sentenced to one year in prison.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during the past few days, Shoresh Ebrahimi (Ayat), a citizen of Tangisar village near Sanandaj and a resident of Marivan, has been sentenced to one year in prison by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Marivan.

35-year-old Shoresh Ebrahimi (Ayat) was arrested on the evening of Thursday, September 22, 2022, in his private home located in Marivan.

 After one month, he was temporarily released from prison on bail.

According to an informed source, Shoresh Ebrahimi was denied access to a lawyer during his arrest and the court session.
