During the first week of the new year, 11 children and teenagers have been abducted by Iranian government forces in various cities of Kurdistan. They are named Mahan Babaei, Mani Nouri, Alan Vaisi, Ramsin Rahimi, Navid Moradi, Sahand Aghaei, Zana Sahragard, Rebwar Najafian, Hissam Mohammadi Tabar, Hawyar Zahabi, and Bordia Azizi.
Nine of the arrested children and teenagers are from the city of Javanroud and were kidnapped by the government forces during the massive wave of arrests that occurred in this city over the last 10 days.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, January 8, 2023, 14-year-old Mahan Babaei and 17-year-old Mani Nouri were abducted by Iranian government forces in the city of Javanroud.
On the other hand, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, Alan Vaisi, 16, of Javanroud, was abducted by Iranian government forces.
Previously, on January 3, 2023, four other children and teenagers from Javanrood, Ramsin Rahimi, Navid Moradi, 16, Sahand Aghaei, 18, and Zana Sahragard, 15, were kidnapped and taken to unknown locations by Iranian government forces.
Also, on January 2, 2023, Rebwar Najafian, 18, from Sanandaj, Hawyar Zahabi, 17, from Mahabad, and Hissam Mohammadi Tabar and Bordia Azizi, both 18 years old and from Javanrud, were kidnapped by the government forces in their cities.
