Iranian government forces detained eight Kurdish citizens

Frouten Gorgani and Adel Ahmadi from Kamiyaran, Saeed Sadr from Sarableh, Iraj Ebrahimzadeh from Mahabad, Mullah Hassan Kohi from Sardasht, Sideq Ahangari and Jalal Mohammad Karimi from Bukan, as well as Shayan Sadeghi, a resident of Dehgolan, have all recently been abducted by Iranian government forces.
According to a report that the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received on January 19, 2023, Iranian government forces kidnapped Frouten Gorgani, an environmental activist from the hamlet of Marab, and Adel Ahmadi, a resident of the hamlet of Alek in Kamiyaran. The government forces raided Frouten Gorgani's home and seized personal items, including his and his wife's cell phones.
On the same day, Mullah Hassan Kohi, the Imam of Mirabad, Sardasht, was abducted by Iranian government forces.
Following the arrests on Thursday, Saeed Sadr, an activist from Sarableh city in Ilam province, was also abducted from his home by government forces.
In Dehgolan, Shayan Sadeghi was abducted by the government forces in his family home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. He is a close friend of Shadman Ahmadi, who was killed on Thursday evening, December 8, 2022, under the torture of agents of the intelligence department.
Also, on Tuesday, January 17, a citizen from Mahabad, Iraj Ebrahimzadeh, was transferred to an unknown place after being kidnapped by government forces.
In this regard, Sadegh Ahangari and Jalal Mohammad Karimi, two citizens from Bukan, were abducted from their houses by government forces on Sunday, January 15.
So far, the follow-ups on the condition of these eight citizens have been fruitless, and no detailed information about their conditions or whereabouts has been made available.
