Four prisoners at the Ilam central prison are on hunger strike

Saman Moradivandan from Abdanan, Jalil Azizpour from Ilam, Babak Karimi from Eyvan, and Armin Kakai from Dehloran city began a hunger strike to protest the government institutions' lack of response to the case and the conditions of detention in the central prison of Ilam.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Saman Moradivandan, Jalil Azizpour, Babak Karimi, and Armin Kakai were arrested during the protests of the past few months in the cities of Abdanan, Ilam, Eyvan, and Dehloran.

According to an informed source, Saman Moradivandan has not been transferred to medical centers despite his severe injuries. He was taken hostage by government forces in exchange for his brother, Sajjad Moradivandan.

It should be mentioned that Armin Kakai, 20 years old, was arrested about a month ago, and after his temporary release, he was kidnapped again by government forces and was transferred to Ilam Central Prison last week.

Saman Moradivandan, Jalil Azizpour, Babak Karimi, and Armin Kakai were deprived of the right to visit and access to a lawyer during the entire period of detention, and after being transferred to prison, they are in undetermined conditions.
