Sakineh Parvaneh, a former Kurdish political prisoner from Qochan, has been arrested for unknown reasons for the second time in less than a month.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Sakineh Parvaneh, a former Kurdish political prisoner, was arrested after being summoned to Mashhad's General and Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office.

So far, there is no detailed information about the reasons for the arrest of this former Kurdish political prisoner.

On March 7, 2023, she was once again arrested by the Iranian government forces in Tehran for unknown reasons and released after four days.

Two consecutive arrests of Sakineh Parvaneh after she spent the fourth year of her sentence on the evening of Wednesday, February 13, 2023.  She was pardoned and released from Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad.

Hengaw recently wrote in a report that the Iranian Islamic  Revolutionary Guards seized all the documents from Sakineh Parvaneh's registry about four years ago, and despite the release of this political prisoner, her documents have not been returned, and this has disabled her to work for the most basic matters of life, such as renting a house, buying a mobile phone SIM card, etc.

This political prisoner was handed over to the Iranian forces through the Mako border on February 7, 2020, and was subsequently handed over to the Ministry of Intelligence and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison in Tehran.

On Sunday, May 17, 2020, Sakineh Parvaneh was sentenced by Branch 26 of Tehran’s Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court to 5 years in prison and banned from joining political groups and organizations for two years without enjoying the minimum rights of a defendant in a criminal proceeding.

During the years of detention, she was alternately transferred to the intelligence detention centers of Mako, Tehran, Evin Prison, Qarchak Prison, Varamin, and Qochan.  Due to the difficult conditions created for her, she went on long hunger strikes several times.
