Adel Nadimi, a Kurdish citizen from Kamiyaran and one of the citizens arrested during the popular uprising in Tehran, was recently sentenced to 2 years in prison and 20 lashes; Once again, he was transferred from the Fashafoye prison to the intelligence detention center while being tortured.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Adel Nadimi, from Kamiyaran City, was recently transferred from Fashafoye prison to Tehran's intelligence detention center.
According to one of the relatives of Nadimi's family, this political prisoner has been subjected to physical and psychological torture by Tehran's intelligence department to accept the prison sentence issued against him and not protest and pursue the case.
Earlier, he was sentenced to two years in prison and 20 lashes by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran headed by Saeed Jamali on the charges of "insulting the religious authority" and "words contrary to the laws of the system". The sentence was officially communicated to him on January 23, 2023, in Fashafoye women's court, and a 20-day deadline for appeal was set.
Before being transferred to prison, this citizen was subjected to severe physical and mental torture in the detention center of the Intelligence Department and was denied the right to access a lawyer and meet his family members.
Adel Nadimi was arrested on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the beginning of Mojdeh Street near Qods Square in Tehran. After a period of interrogation and torture in the Intelligence Department, he was transferred to Fashafoye Prison.
