Puria Javaheri, a Kurdish prisoner accused of "warfare", is spending the fifth month of his detention, while he is being tortured and forced to confess in IRGC intelligence detention centers. He was also forced to participate in security staging against him.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 30-year-old Puria Javaheri from Kamyaran has been in detention for more than four months on charges of "warfare". Since February 2023, he has been transferred from the Shahramfar detention center of IRGC in Sanandaj to Kamyaran prison.
In March 2023, Puria Javaheri was forced to play a role in a "murder scene" under security measures, with the scenario of the Iranian intelligence in Kamyaran.
Before that, the Iranian government media reported the killing of a Basij member named Reza Azarbar in Kamiyaran on November 15, 2022, and later announced Puria Javaheri as the perpetrator.
This is although according to Hasan Javaheri, the father of Puria Javaheri, his son was working on road construction in the village on November 15, and the residents testify that he was not present in the city of Kamyaran.
According to sources close to Puria Javaheri's family, he was severely tortured and physically injured during his detention at the Shahramfar intelligence headquarters of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in Sanandaj.
The source further stated that during the past five months, Poriya Javaheri has not met his family other than a short phone call and has been denied access to a lawyer.
Puria Javaheri, 30 years old, was arrested by the IRGC intelligence department on November 29, 2022. This citizen is currently facing charges of "warfare" by the Iranian government institutions.
