Rada Fatehi, the sister of Ramin Fatehi, who was killed during the popular uprising in Sanandaj, has been summoned to appear before the city's criminal court. The summons she received on April 13 requires her to appear in court on April 15 to face charges of disturbing public peace and order.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Rada Fatehi was previously summoned on April 6 of this year. She was snatched on October 14, 2022, following the arrest of her two brothers, Ramin and Wriya Fatehi, by government forces at their family home.
Ramin Fatehi was killed under severe torture by forces of the intelligence agency during his nine-day detention. Wriya and Rada Fatehi were later released on bail of one billion tomans after being detained for 21 days.
Rights activists worry that Rada Fatehi may receive unfair punishment in court as a result of the case.
