Organized chemical attacks on schools continued with 10 attacks on schools today in Tehran, Urmia, H

Organized chemical attacks on schools continued with 10 attacks on schools today in Tehran, Urmia, Hamedan, Qazvin, Saqqez, Dezful, and Ardabil, and Amnesty International called for an independent investigation in a statement.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, April 20, 2023, three chemical attacks were carried out on Nasiri and Abu Zar girls' high schools, as well as the Nasim girls' school in Urmia, which resulted in over 50 students being poisoned and transferred to Khomeini Hospital emergency.
 

At the same time, the girls' high schools of Ommat and Yahyavi, Tehran-Pars in northeast Tehran were targeted by chemical gasses, and several students were transferred to medical centers.
 

Furthermore, the attack on Chamran School in Hamedan was another organized attack that caused the poisoning of several students.
 

In another separate attack, students of Pishdastan girls' high school in Dezful were also poisoned. During this organized attack, the school management did not allow families to enter and take their children, at the same time forced deleted the photos and videos on students' cell phones.
 

Kowsar Girls' High School located on Kurdistan Boulevard in Saqqez was also targeted by chemical gases, and several students were poisoned.
 

In addition, Masaod Parwiz girls’ schools in Qazvin and Baharan girls’ schools in Ardabil were targeted and the symptoms of poisoned students were noted. 
 

Following these attacks on schools in Iran, Amnesty International, in a statement, emphasized that such attacks violated students' rights to education, health, and safety, as well as endangering the lives of millions of students, and called for an independent investigation.

Amnesty International stated that such serial attacks are organized and intended to poison students.
