Security forces arrest Fayeq Bastan in Marivan

Fayeq Bastan, a Kurdish resident of Marivan, was arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an unknown location, bringing the total number of detainees in the city to six.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, Fayeq Bastan — a resident of Sufi Beleh village and living in Lenjawa district of Marivan — was taken into custody.
There is no confirmed information regarding the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his place of detention.
In connection with these ongoing crackdowns, more than 300 Kurds have been arrested in recent days by Iranian security forces, one of whom has reportedly died under torture.
