Rasul Obaidi, a physically disabled Kurdish citizen from Baneh, was arrested by Iranian government forces on May 1, 2023, without a warrant and his fate remains unknown.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Rasul Obaidi, a 40-year-old physically disabled Kurdish citizen from the village of "Siwich Sefali" residing in Baneh, was arrested by the Iranian government forces on May 1, 2023, without any legal warrant, and his fate remains unknown since then. 
 

According to Hengaw’s sources, Mr. Obaidi, married and the father of two children had lost a leg in a landmine explosion. 
 

This citizen was taken into custody by the Iranian Intelligence forces in Baneh. In the meantime, these forces raided the residence of Ahmed Gholami from “Siwich Sefali” and arrested him without any legal warrant. 
 

In the same regard, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Jaafer Abdulpanah, Salam Abdullahi, and Osman Mahmoodi all from Siwich Sefali village in Baneh county were summoned to the Iranian intelligence department in Baneh and held captive for several hours and later released temporarily.
