Hengaw has been informed that Kamal Khedri the Governor of Baneh with the support and an organized plan by the “executive committee of Imam’s directive” is planning to use his connection within the Iranian judiciary and with help from the Iranian government agencies for confiscating residential properties.
According to the reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the lands purchased by approximately 700 households in the "Quran Quarter" of Baneh are on the verge of being confiscated by the Iranian government institutions, including the governor's office and the "Executive Headquarters of Imam's directive”.
Informed sources from Baneh have told Hengaw, that the area of these lands is approximately 100,000 square meters and is located close to the military barracks. These lands were previously purchased by residents of Baneh.
The source added that Kamal Khedri, the governor of Baneh, in coordination and with the support of relevant individuals in the "Executive committee of Imam's directive" is attempting to confiscate the aforementioned lands by establishing files under security concerns against the owners of these lands in the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court and the Court of Article 49 of the Constitution.
It is important to note that for years, the Executive Committee of Imam’s directive with the assistance of the Iranian intelligence agencies and the Article 49 court, has been illegally seizing properties belonging to citizens in Kurdish cities. The majority of issued verdicts are based on the fatwa of Khomeini, particularly targeting Baha'i and Jewish citizens.
