Nahid Hajtmand, a resident of Mahabad city, has been arrested by intelligence department forces in this city for a period of approximately two weeks, and there is no clear information regarding her fate.
The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights was informed that Nahid Hajtmand was detained without a warrant by the Intelligence Department in Mahabad on April 29, 2023.
An informed source said that these forces detained 40-year-old Nahid Hajtmand and brought her to a security prison facility in Urmia on the grounds that she took part in the "woman, life, freedom" movement.
Nahid Hajtmand's exact fate and whereabouts were unknown as of the time this report was written, and her family's attempts to learn more about her whereabouts had been fruitless.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization, during the Women's Revolution, hundreds of women have been arrested in different cities of Kurdistan, and so far, the identities of 225 of them have been verified for Hengaw.
